Description
Geptanolimab (CBT-501) is a humanized IgG4κ monoclonal antibody directed against PD-1 (Programmed Death-1). Geptanolimab functions by competitively blocking the binding of PD-L1 and PD-L2 to PD-1, thereby reactivating T cell activity. Geptanolimab is under development as an immunotherapeutic agent with potential applications in cancer treatment.
In vitro
Geptanolimab exhibits high specificity in binding to the PD-1 of Homo sapiens (KD=505 pM) and Macaca mulatta (KD=7.2 nM) [1].
Geptanolimab also enhances T-cell activation in mixed lymphocyte response (MLR) of Homo sapiens and significantly increases the release of IL-2 and IFN-γ [1].
In vivo
Geptanolimab was administered via intraperitoneal injection in MC38 syngeneic tumor model mice, demonstrating significant antitumor activity with a tumor inhibition rate as high as 83% [1].
