DHFR-IN-12 (Compound 5c) is a DHFR inhibitor that demonstrates significant antibacterial properties.
In vitro
DHFR-IN-12 (Compound 5c, 521μM) exhibits notable antibacterial activity.
In vivo
DHFR-IN-12 (5% w/v; 3 days) significantly reduces corneal infection in rats. Compared to the MRSA group, the percentage of corneal opacity is notably decreased in the group treated with DHFR-IN-12.
