Captopril (SQ 14225) hydrochloride is an antihypertensive agent that is a thiol-containing, competitive, orally active angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor with an IC50 of 0.025 μM, widely used in hypertension and congestive heart failure research. | In vitro | Captopril hydrochloride (SQ 14225) offers comparable benefits in reducing morbidity and mortality to diuretics and beta-blockers for treating hypertension. It also slows the progression of diabetic nephropathy, similarly to how enalapril and lisinopril prevent nephropathy onset in normoalbuminuric diabetic patients. Moreover, Captopril hydrochloride exists in solution as an equimolar mixture of cis and trans states, with only the trans state being specifically selected by the enzyme due to its structural and stereochemical match with the enzyme's substrate binding site. |

Dissolve 2 mg of the compound in 100 μL DMSO
to obtain a stock solution at a concentration of 20 mg/mL . If the required concentration exceeds the compound's known solubility, please contact us for technical support before proceeding.
1) Add 100 μL of the DMSO
stock solution to 400 μL PEG300
and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.
2) Add 50 μL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.
3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH2O
and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
