Bax BH3 peptide (55-74), wild type is a 20-amino acid peptide (Bax 1) known for its apoptosis-inducing capability in various cell line models.
In vitro
In addition to interfering with Bax/Bcl-2 and Bax/Bcl-XL interactions, the wild type Bax BH3 peptide (55-74) facilitates the release of cytochrome c from isolated mitochondria. As a member of the Bcl-2 protein family, which includes both pro-apoptotic and anti-apoptotic proteins, Bax BH3 plays a crucial role in regulating apoptosis by controlling the 'intrinsic' cell death pathway[1].

Stock Solution Preparation:

Dissolve 2 mg of the compound in 100 μL DMSOTargetMol | reagent to obtain a stock solution at a concentration of 20 mg/mL . If the required concentration exceeds the compound's known solubility, please contact us for technical support before proceeding.

Preparation of the In Vivo Formulation:

1) Add 100 μL of the DMSOTargetMol | reagent stock solution to 400 μL PEG300TargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.

2) Add 50 μL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.

3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH2OTargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
