Description
Antioxidant agent-22 is a tetracyclohexaphosphazene compound derived from paraben. It exhibits antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and pro-apoptotic (apoptosis) activities. This compound significantly upregulates the expression of CAT, SOD, caspase-3, and IL-6 while inhibiting GSH and IL-1β and reducing the levels of BCL-2 and BAX. Antioxidant agent-22 is applicable in cancer-related research, such as studies on lung cancer.
In vitro
Antioxidant agent-22 (Compound 5) exhibits cytotoxic activity against human lung adenocarcinoma cells A549 with an IC50 of 12.650 μM and shows very low toxicity to human lung fibroblasts MRC-5 at concentrations ranging from 1.56 to 100 μM. It regulates the expression of antioxidant genes (CAT, GSS, SOD), anti-inflammatory gene (IL-6), and Caspase-3 while reducing the expression of apoptosis-related genes (BCL-2, BAX) in A549 cells. The compound exhibits antioxidant activity by reducing GSH levels, anti-inflammatory activity by lowering IL-1β levels, and pro-apoptotic activity by increasing Caspase-3 levels in human lung adenocarcinoma A549 cells.

Preparation of the In Vivo Formulation:

1) Add 100 μL of the DMSOTargetMol | reagent stock solution to 400 µL PEG300TargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.

2) Add 50 µL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.

3) Add 450 µL Saline,PBS or ddH2OTargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
