Description
Trk Bactivator-1 D3 is a specific, orally active activator of tropomyosin receptor kinase B (TrkB) that can penetrate the blood-brain barrier. By activating the brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF)-TrkB-cAMP response element-binding protein (CREB) signaling pathway, TrkBactivator-1 exhibits potent antidepressant effects and enhances neural plasticity. It is applicable for research into neurological disorders such as depression.
In vitro
TrkB activator-1 (Compound B11), when applied at concentrations of 3-100 μM for 24 hours, can enhance the total length, number, and intersection count of neurites in hippocampal neurons. Additionally, at concentrations of 1-100 μM for periods ranging from 0.25 to 2 hours, it upregulates BDNF in these neurons in a dose-dependent manner. Furthermore, at 3-100 μM for 15 minutes, it increases the levels of p-TrkB, p-PLCγ, PKA, and p-CREB in hippocampal neurons.
In vivo
TrkB activator-1 (Compound B11) exhibits a rapid-onset antidepressant effect in mice subjected to a chronic unpredictable mild stress-induced depression model when administered orally in a single dose at 7.5-100 mg/kg.

1) Add 100 μL of the DMSOTargetMol | reagent stock solution to 400 μL PEG300TargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.

2) Add 50 μL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.

3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH2OTargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
