| In vivo | To determine its endocrine profile, Topterone is administered parenterally or topically to rats, rabbits, or hamsters. Systemic administration reveals that Topterone exhibits both antiandrogenic and progestational effects. However, topical application at a dose of 1 g/kg/day fails to induce a systemic antiandrogenic response, and only a minimal progestational response is observed at 32 mg/kg/day. No other endocrine activities are detected in these experiments[2]. Topterone demonstrates the inhibition of flank organ development in castrated immature male hamsters in response to both testosterone and dihydrotestosterone, whereas Progesterone inhibits stimulation by only testosterone. Furthermore, topical application of Topterone has been shown to cause regression in the development of the flank organ[1]. |

Dissolve 2 mg of the compound in 100 μL DMSO
to obtain a stock solution at a concentration of 20 mg/mL . If the required concentration exceeds the compound's known solubility, please contact us for technical support before proceeding.
1) Add 100 μL of the DMSO
stock solution to 400 μL PEG300
and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.
2) Add 50 μL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.
3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH2O
and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
