Bioactivity

Description	SMP-028 is a neutral cholesterol esterase (CEase) inhibitor(IC50 : 1.01 μM).
Targets&IC50	CEase:1.01 μM
In vitro	SMP-028 potently inhibits neutral cholesterol esterase (CEase) with an IC50 of 1.01 μM in a concentration-dependent manner. However, it weakly inhibits other steroidogenic enzymes, with IC50 values >10 μM. Specifically, SMP-028 does not inhibit acid CEase and only weakly affects CYP11A1, with IC50 values >100 μM and 49.8 μM, respectively [1]. At concentrations of 10 μM or less, SMP-028 does not affect the viability of male adrenal cells, female adrenal cells, testicular cells, or ovarian cells, but concentrations above 30 μM significantly reduce the viability of male and female adrenal cells [2].

Stock Solution Preparation:

Dissolve 2 mg of the compound in 100 μL DMSO TargetMol | reagent to obtain a stock solution at a concentration of 20 mg/mL . If the required concentration exceeds the compound's known solubility, please contact us for technical support before proceeding.

Preparation of the In Vivo Formulation:

1) Add 100 μL of the DMSO TargetMol | reagent stock solution to 400 μL PEG300 and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.

2) Add 50 μL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.

3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH₂O TargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
