Description
Semorinemab (RG6100) is a humanised monoclonal antibody targeting the N-terminal domain of tau protein with a Kd of 3.8 nM, suitable for Alzheimer's disease research. It binds all six human tau isoforms and reduces tau accumulation.
In vitro
The binding dissociation constants (Kd) of Semorinemab with Homo sapiens-derived Tau protein and recombinant cynomolgus monkey Tau protein (Bletilla striata) were 3.8 nM and 11.2 nM, respectively [1].
Semorinemab effectively inhibits neuronal uptake of Tau oligomers [1].
In vivo
In the Tau pathology transgenic (Tg) mouse model, Semorinemab (3, 10, and 30 mg/kg; intraperitoneal injection, once weekly for 13 weeks) effectively reduced Tau protein accumulation.
