| Description | N-Phthaloyl-L-glutamic acid is an orally active anti-inflammatory agent. It inhibits nitric oxide production induced by lipopolysaccharides in murine spleen cells. N-Phthaloyl-L-glutamic acid shows no significant cytotoxicity in vitro against tumor cells or cultured spleen cells from BALB/c mice. It can be utilized in inflammation-related research. |
| In vitro | N-Phthaloyl-L-glutamic acid (compound 2f) at a concentration of 25-50 μg/mL over 72 hours can inhibit the production of nitric oxide induced by Lipopolysaccharides (LPS), exhibiting low cytotoxicity towards BALB/c mouse splenocytes. At 25 μg/mL over 48 hours, it shows weak antiproliferative activity against human tumor cell lines (MDA/MB-435, HCT-8, and SF-295). |
| In vivo | In a carrageenan-induced air pouch model in BALB/c mice, N-Phthaloyl-L-glutamic acid (compound 2f) administered orally in a single dose of 100 mg/kg significantly inhibits neutrophil (PMNL) migration, achieving a PMNL infiltration inhibition rate of 61.7%. |
