Description	LolCDE-IN-2 is a potent inhibitor of the Lol protein (LolCDE) and demonstrates antibacterial activity against E. coli MG1655, with a minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of 2 μg/ml [1].
In vitro	The P. aeruginosa ΔlolCDE::CTX-lolCDE E. coli strain becomes more susceptible to LolCDE-IN-2 (compound 2A) when either the MexAB-OprM efflux pump is lacking or the permeability of its OM is increased by the expression of the FpvA-ΔP protein; in each case, these strains show an MIC of 16 μg/ml [1]. LolCDE-IN-2 likely interacts with residues in the binding regions of E. coli LolCDE.
