Bioactivity

Description	Isoformononetin (IFN) is a methoxy isoflavone present in human dietary supplements that exhibits immune-protective effects by preventing neuroinflammation in a streptozotocin-induced rat model through inhibition of the NLRP3/ASC/IL-1 axis activation.
In vitro	Isoformononetinn (10-8 M) promotes differentiation of osteoblasts involved in activation of the MEK-Erk and Akt pathways and exhibits potent anti-apoptotic effects. [2]
In vivo	Isoformononetin was administered orally at a dose of 10mg/kg once a day for 21 days, and the results showed that Isoformononetin was neuroprotective against STZ-induced inflammation. [1] Isoformononetin (10.0 mg/kg/ day) tube feeding can increase the bone mineral density (BMD) of bone site and promote the growth and development of uterus in SD rats. [2]
