| Description | EG36 is a selective Escherichia coli DnaK inhibitor that suppresses the ATPase activity of DnaK at a concentration of 100 μM. It binds directly to the nucleotide-binding domain (NBD) of E. coli DnaK, disrupting the interaction between DnaK and DnaJ. EG36 is applicable for research on bacterial infectious diseases. |
| In vitro | EG36 (50-200 μM) inhibits the DnaJ-GrpE-stimulated ATPase activity of purified E. coli DnaK in a dose-dependent manner, with inhibitory effects observed at concentrations of 50, 100, and 200 μM. The inhibition becomes more pronounced as the concentration of DnaJ increases. EG36 directly binds to the isolated nucleotide-binding domain of E. coli DnaK, thus suppressing its intrinsic ATPase activity. However, EG36 is not a general Hsp inhibitor, as it does not alter the ATPase activity or thermal stability of bacterial HtpG. |

Dissolve 2 mg of the compound in 100 μL DMSO
to obtain a stock solution at a concentration of 20 mg/mL . If the required concentration exceeds the compound's known solubility, please contact us for technical support before proceeding.
1) Add 100 μL of the DMSO
stock solution to 400 µL PEG300
and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.
2) Add 50 µL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.
3) Add 450 µL Saline,PBS or ddH2O
and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
