| Description | Cladosporin is a metabolite derived from the mycelium of Cladosporium cladosporioides. Cladosporin inhibits the growth of several dermatophytes on agar medium at a concentration of 75 µg/mL, demonstrating potent antifungal activity. The biological properties of Cladosporin support the utilization of Cladosporin in studies of fungal biology, natural product research, antifungal mechanism characterization, and microbial growth regulation. |
| In vitro | Method: Recombinant Plasmodium falciparum cytoplasmic lysyl-tRNA synthetase and human lysyl-tRNA synthetase were tested in aminoacylation assays with cladosporin.[1] Rresult: Cladosporin inhibited the P. falciparum enzyme with an IC50 of approximately 61 nM, whereas the human enzyme had an IC50 greater than 20 μM, demonstrating marked biochemical selectivity.[1] Method: Cladosporin was tested against Plasmodium blood-stage and liver-stage parasites, with HepG2-CD81 cells used to assess host-cell toxicity.[1] Rresult: Parasite growth was inhibited at approximately 40-90 nM, whereas toxicity to HepG2-CD81 host cells was not detected below 10 μM, providing a large parasite-versus-host selectivity window.[1] |

Dissolve 2 mg of the compound in 100 μL DMSO
to obtain a stock solution at a concentration of 20 mg/mL . If the required concentration exceeds the compound's known solubility, please contact us for technical support before proceeding.
1) Add 100 μL of the DMSO
stock solution to 400 µL PEG300
and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.
2) Add 50 µL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.
3) Add 450 µL Saline,PBS or ddH2O
and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
