In vitro
Antitubercular agent-28 (compound 2) exhibits antimycobacterial activity against resistant isolates of M. tuberculosis H37Rv with IC50 values of 2.9, 125, 130, 1.3, 3.8 μM, MICs of 3.3, 170, 190, 1.8, 8.4 μM, and IC90 values of 3.1, 140, 180, 1.5, 4.8 μM for FQ-R1, INH-R1, INH-R2, RIF-R1, and RIF-R2 respectively [1]. At concentrations of 0-200 μM, it shows antibacterial activity with an MIC of 170 μM, IC50 of 2.96 μM, and IC90 of 19 μM in low oxygen conditions, and an MIC of 1.77 μM, IC50 of 1.02 μM, and IC90 of 1.34 μM in normal oxygen conditions [1]. Additionally, it demonstrates intracellular activity with an IC50 of 2.15 μM, IC90 of 2.85 μM, and low cytotoxicity with an IC50 of >100 μM [1].
