In vitro
Antibacterial agent 105 (compound 17) demonstrates an inhibitory effect on the growth of M. tuberculosis within in vitro cultured macrophages and exhibits antibacterial activities against fluoroquinolone-resistant bacteria and extensively drug-resistant tuberculosis (XDR-TB), as shown in [1]. Notably, it exhibits no toxicity towards the Vero cell line and human macrophages after 24 hours of exposure [1].
