Description
5-Sulfosalicylic acid is a sulfonated salicylic acid derivative used to dope poly(2-chloroaniline)-based highly sensitive label-free electrochemical immunoassay (ECI) for detecting CA72-4, a key gastric cancer biomarker. This compound also demonstrates activity against breast cancer cell lines.
In vitro
Methods: MCF-7 and HUVEC cells were treated with 5-Sulfosalicylic acid (0.5, 1, 2, 4 mM, 24 hours) and cell viability was measured. Results: Under the treatment of 5-Sulfosalicylic acid (1 mM), the viability of MCF-7 and HUVEC control cells was 63.3% and 70.4%, respectively. [1]

Preparation of the In Vivo Formulation:

1) Add 100 μL of the DMSOTargetMol | reagent stock solution to 400 μL PEG300TargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.

2) Add 50 μL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.

3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH2OTargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
