| Description | 4-Chlorodiphenyl ether is an estrogenic compound. It supports the survival of endometriotic cysts and exhibits estrogen-like activity associated with the growth of endometriosis lesions. 4-Chlorodiphenyl ether is applicable for research related to endometriosis. |
| In vivo | Administering 4-Chlorodiphenyl ether (10-150 mg/kg/day; subcutaneous injection; daily for 28 days) results in a dose-dependent increase in endometrial cyst survival rates in ovariectomized B6C3F1 mice, with the 150 mg/kg/day group showing a 60% survival rate, significantly higher than the solvent control group. At the highest dose, it also alters hepatic microsomal enzyme activity. Additionally, 4-Chlorodiphenyl ether (68 nmol/kg; intravenous injection; single dose) is rapidly cleared from the blood of skates and primarily accumulates in the liver, with slow elimination and a total body clearance rate of 4.05 mL·min −1 ·kg −1. |
