| Description | 2'-Deoxy-N-methyl-AMP ammonium is an N6-substituted adenine nucleotide derivative that serves as a glycoconjugate donor. It acts as a specific substrate for N6-methyl-AMP aminohydrolase, facilitating its conversion to dIMP, thus playing a role in the nucleotide metabolism cycle. Additionally, 2'-Deoxy-N-methyl-AMP ammonium functions as a donor of GDP-linked fucose derivatives, driving site-specific protein glycosylation through the action of α-1,3-fucosyltransferase. This compound is a crucial molecular tool for studying nucleotide modification and protein glycosylation mechanisms. |
