Description
PDE4B-IN-7 is a PDE-4B inhibitor with an IC50 of 160 nM. It binds firmly and stably to the active site of PDE-4B. PDE4B-IN-7 can suppress acetylcholine-induced bronchospasm in guinea pigs and is effective against susceptible Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial strains. This compound is useful for research related to asthma and bacterial pathogens.

In vitro
PDE4B-IN-7 (Compound 17k) effectively inhibits human recombinant PDE-4B in vitro with an IC50 of 160 nM when tested at concentrations of 1, 10, 100, and 1000 ng/mL for 20 minutes. At concentrations ranging from 31.15 to 500 μg/mL over 18-24 hours, it exhibits potent in vitro antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus (MIC = 0.07 μg/mL) and significant activity against Escherichia coli (MIC = 8.074 μg/mL).
In vivo
PDE4B-IN-7 (Compound 17k), when administered intraperitoneally at doses ranging from 2.5 to 10 mg/kg, effectively suppresses acetylcholine-induced bronchospasm in Hartley guinea pigs, achieving an IC₅₀ of 5.8 mg/kg and an inhibition rate of 78.3% at a 10 mg/kg dose. The intraperitoneal LD₅₀ of PDE4B-IN-7 in male albino mice is 300 mg/kg.
