| In vivo | In rats with basal forebrain lesions, KW-6055 (40 mg/kg, p.o.) significantly elevated the extracellular acetylcholine (ACh) concentration (251±22%) for over two hours, surpassing the duration observed in normal rats. This benzylpyridine derivative exhibits anti-amnesic properties. Additionally, the administration of KW-6055 (40, 160 mg/kg, p.o.) in normal rats resulted in increased extracellular ACh levels (257±23, 202±24%), indicating its potent effect on neurotransmitter regulation. |

Preparation of the In Vivo Formulation:
1) Add 100 μL of the DMSO stock solution to 400 μL PEG300 and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.
2) Add 50 μL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.
3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH2O and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
