Description
Hepcidin-1 (mouse) TFA, an endogenous peptide hormone, regulates iron homeostasis by upregulating mRNA levels of TRAP, cathepsin K, and MMP-9, enhancing TRAP-5b protein secretion, and downregulating FPN1 protein levels, thereby increasing intracellular iron. It also promotes osteoclast differentiation [1].
In vitro
Hepcidin-1 (mouse) TFA, administered at concentrations ranging from 200 to 800 nM for four days, enhances the differentiation of RAW264.7 cells induced by RANKL at 50 ng/mL [1]. Within the same dosage range and duration, it upregulates the expression of TRAP, CTK, and MMP-9 mRNA [1]. Additionally, treatment with Hepcidin-1 (mouse) TFA at 0-800 nM for 20 hours increases the level of Trap-5b protein and decreases the ferroportin 1 (FPN1) protein in RAW264.7 cells [1].

Preparation of the In Vivo Formulation:

1) Add 100 μL of the DMSOTargetMol | reagent stock solution to 400 μL PEG300TargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.

2) Add 50 μL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.

3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH2OTargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
