Description	Emlenoflast sodium (MCC7840 sodium), a sulfonylurea, is a selective NLRP3 inflammasome inhibitor with an IC50 value of less than 100 nM for NLRP3 inflammasome, and can be used in the study of inflammatory diseases.

In vitro	Emlenoflast sodium is an MCC950 analogue that exhibits useful activity in inhibiting NLRP3 inflammasome activation with IC50 <100 nM.[1]
In vivo	Emlenoflast sodium (4 mg/kg; i.v.; Male C57BL/6 mice) showed t1/2=3.39 h; AUC0-last=107097 ng•h/mL; CL=0.621 mL /min/kg.[2] Emlenoflast sodium (20 mg/kg; p.o.; Male C57BL/6 mice) exhibits good oral bioavailability (67.2%), Cmax (60467 ng/mL) and half-life (5.02 h) in mice.[2]
