By effectively reducing the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of Ceftazidime, Antibacterial Agent 47 acts as a highly promising antimicrobial agent, thereby enhancing the overall efficacy of the treatment.
In vitro
Antibacterial agent 47 (Compound 10), as reported in WO2013030735A1, enhances the efficacy of Ceftazidime by significantly reducing its minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values against E. coli strains NCTC 13351, M50, and 7MP, with MICs recorded at 16, 16, and 32 mcg/ml, respectively [1].
