Description

It is commonly used in the study of egg allergy, and is able to induce strong Th2-type immune responses and IgE antibody production in mice.
In vitro
At low concentrations (0.01 μM), OVA Peptide (323-339) enhances the ability of M2Y-type B cells to activate Th cells, more so than M2-type B cells[1].
In vivo
OVA Peptide (323-339) is widely used in BALB/c mouse models to induce allergic immune responses. Repeated exposure results in enhanced production of OVA-specific IgE and Th2 cytokines, making it a potent tool for modeling antigen-specific hypersensitivity and allergy-related immune activation [2].
