Description
Ovalbumin (OVA) peptide, primarily found in egg white, is a class I (Kb)-restricted peptide epitope presented by H-2Kb, the mouse MHC (major histocompatibility complex) class I gene product. It has garnered significant attention in the field of allergy research [1] [2].
In vivo
OVA peptide-pulsed bone marrow-derived dendritic cells (DCs) significantly enhance the induction of OVA-specific cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) responses in vivo. This effect is superior to that observed with either splenocytes or RMA-S cells pulsed with OVA peptide, as well as immunization with free OVA peptide in combination with adjuvant [2].
