Description
NorA-IN-2 (compound DZ-3) is a potent inhibitor of NorA. It exhibits activity as a NorA efflux pump inhibitor (EPI).
In vitro
NorA-IN-2 (compound DZ-3) exhibits antibacterial activity, with minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC) against Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) 1199B, S. aureus RN4220, S. aureus XU212, and E. coli AG100 recorded at 8, 256, 128, and 128 µg/mL, respectively. Additionally, NorA-IN-2 (300, 400, 500 µg/mL; 24 h) demonstrates cytotoxicity to RAW 264.7 and HaCaT cells.
