MBP (83-99) is an immunodominant epitope recognized by MBP-specific T cell lines, which stimulates both cell proliferation and IFN-γ secretion in T cells [1] [2].
In vitro
MBP (83-99), the immunodominant segment of myelin basic protein, exhibits its activity in the context of HLA-DR2 restriction [1].
In vivo
MBP(83-99) (50 µg; subcutaneous injection; once) elicits a moderate IFN-γ T-cell response in immunized SJL/J mice [2].
