| Description | Chitosan hydrochloride (80%-90% deacetylated) (Chitosan HCl 80%-90% deacetylated) is a hydrochloride salt derivative of chitosan. This 80%-90% deacetylated polysaccharide, derived from chitin, exhibits antibacterial activity against a variety of bacteria and fungi. Chitosan hydrochloride (80%-90% deacetylated) is widely used in agriculture, water treatment, and the pharmaceutical industry. |
| In vitro | Method: Chitosan hydrochloride (80%-90% deacetylated) with a molecular weight of approximately 60 kDa was incorporated into liquid or agar culture media at 0.01–1% and tested against Fusarium graminearum using growth-inhibition and agar-diffusion assays. Result: One percent chitosan hydrochloride completely inhibited fungal growth in liquid culture; lower concentrations inhibited growth by approximately 53–87%, while agar-medium and diffusion assays also showed concentration-dependent inhibition.[1] |

Dissolve 2 mg of the compound in 100 μL DMSO
to obtain a stock solution at a concentration of 20 mg/mL . If the required concentration exceeds the compound's known solubility, please contact us for technical support before proceeding.
1) Add 100 μL of the DMSO
stock solution to 400 µL PEG300
and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.
2) Add 50 µL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.
3) Add 450 µL Saline,PBS or ddH2O
and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
