| Description | Antibacterialagent 210 (compound A9) is an amide derivative that acts as a quorum sensing inhibitor (QSI) for Pseudomonas aeruginosa. It functions by binding particularly to PqsR, and also to LasR, thereby inhibiting the quorum sensing system. |
| In vitro | Antibacterial agent 210 (compound A9; 160 μg/mL) suppresses the virulence factors of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, significantly reduces the formation of PAO1 biofilms, and inhibits swarming motility of the bacterium. Additionally, Antibacterial agent 210 hinders the expression of genes associated with the QS system in Pseudomonas aeruginosa. |
