AF647 NHS is a fluorescent dye commonly used for biomolecule labeling. It exhibits far-red fluorescence with Ex/Em(nm)= 648nm/671nm. The active ester group of this dye reacts with amino groups (mainly primary amines) on target biomolecules, forming stable amide bonds, thus labeling AF647 fluorescent molecules onto biopolymers.
