A2G1 & A2[6]G1 glycan (G1), labeled with 2-AB, is a Lewis X (LeX) N-glycan that has two asymmetric branches. SLeX acts as a ligand for the cell adhesion molecule E-selectin, which is specifically expressed at sites of inflammatory lesions. Conjugates of SLeX-containing polysaccharides can be engineered to target drug delivery to inflamed tissue.
