Construction	A DNA sequence encoding the SARS-CoV-2 Spike S1+S2 (YP_009724390.1, with mutations T19R, L452R, E484Q, D614G, P681R, D950N, G142D) (Met1-Pro1213) was expressed with a C-terminal polyhistidine tag followed by an AVI tag. The expressed protein was biotinylated in vivo by the Biotin-Protein ligase (BirA enzyme) which is co-expressed. The mutations were identified in the SARS-CoV-2 variant (known as B.1.617.1) which emerged in the India. Predicted N terminal: Val 16
Protein Purity	> 85 % as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Endotoxin	< 1.0 EU/μg of the protein as determined by the LAL method.
Formulation	Lyophilized from a solution filtered through a 0.22 μm filter, containing 20 mM Tris, 300 mM NaCl, 10% glycerol, pH 8.0.Typically, a mixture containing 5% to 8% trehalose, mannitol, and 0.01% Tween 80 is incorporated as a protective agent before lyophilization.
