Catalog No. TMPK-00617 Copy Product Info
Interleukin-13 (IL-13) is a monomeric 17 kDa immunoregulatory cytokine that plays a key role in the pathogenesis of allergy, cancer, and tissue fibrosis. It is secreted by several helper T cell subsets, NK cells, mast cells, eosinophils, basophils, and visceral smooth muscle cells. Inhibits inflammatory cytokine production. Synergizes with IL2 in regulating interferon-gamma synthesis. May be critical in regulating inflammatory and immune responses. Positively regulates IL31RA expression in macrophages (By similarity).

Product Introduction

Bioactivity
Bioactivity
1. Immobilized Human IL-13, His Tag at 5μg/ml (100μl/Well). Dose response curve for Human IL-13Ra1, hFc Tag with the EC50 of 4.7μg/ml determined by ELISA. 2. Human IL-13, His Tag immobilized on CM5 Chip can bind Human IL-13Ra1, hFc Tag with an affinity constant of 0.7μM as determined in a SPR assay.

FormulationLyophilized from a solution filtered through a 0.22 μm filter, containing PBS (pH 7.4). Typically, 8% trehalose is incorporated as a protective agent before lyophilization.
ReconstitutionReconstitute the lyophilized protein in distilled water. The product concentration should not be less than 100 μg/ml. Before opening, centrifuge the tube to collect powder at the bottom. After adding the reconstitution buffer, avoid vortexing or pipetting for mixing.

Chemical Properties
Molecular Weight15.3 kDa (predicted). Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates to 15 kDa and 25-45 kDa based on Tris-Bis PAGE result.
Storage & Solubility Information
ShippingIn general, lyophilized powders are shipped with blue ice, while solutions are shipped with dry ice.
StorageIt is recommended to store recombinant proteins at -20°C to -80°C for future use. Lyophilized powders can be stably stored for over 12 months, while liquid products can be stored for 6-12 months at -80°C. For reconstituted protein solutions, the solution can be stored at -20°C to -80°C for at least 3 months. Please avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles and store products in aliquots.
