Targeted Mol Mycoplasma Removal Reagent is an efficient and safe product designed for the removal and control of Mycoplasma contamination in cell culture systems. Mycoplasma is one of the most common and hidden sources of contamination in cell culture, which can significantly affect cell proliferation, metabolism, and gene expression, leading to biased experimental results. If pollution occurs in precious or irreplaceable cell lines, this product can serve as an ideal rescue solution. The targetMol mycoplasma clearance reagent is mainly composed of Tiamulin fumarate and Minocycline hydrochloride. Tiamulin fumarate inhibits protein synthesis by binding to the 50S subunit of mycoplasma ribosomes, while Minocycline hydrochloride inhibits protein elongation by binding to the 30S subunit to prevent aminoacyl tRNA from entering the ribosomes. Therefore, both of these components effectively block the growth and reproduction of Mycoplasma by inhibiting protein synthesis, and can effectively inhibit and eliminate common strains of Mycoplasma, including Acholesplasma laidlawi, Mycoplasma arginini, Mycoplasma hyorhinis, and Mycoplasma orale. They also have inhibitory effects on some Gram negative and Gram positive bacteria. This reagent has good cell compatibility and can quickly and thoroughly remove mycoplasma contamination without significantly affecting cell morphology and growth status, helping researchers restore normal physiological functions of cells and ensuring the stability and reliability of the experimental system.
