Description
(Z)-9-Dodecenyl acetate, a mono-unsaturated dodecyl ester and EAG stimulant and lure inhibitor, can induce an electroantennogram (EAG) response in male Choristoneura rosaceana antennae.
In vitro
(Z)-9-Dodecenyl acetate, when used at concentrations of 10 ng and 100 ng, induces notable antennal response in male Choristoneura rosaceana moths, unlike at 0.1 ng or 1 ng where no significant reaction occurs. This compound (0.01-1 mg; deployed over 2-week intervals) can inhibit male moth attraction to synthetic pheromones, showing significant effects at 0.1 mg and 1 mg, while at 0.01 mg it has no impact. Furthermore, when a 1 mg source of (Z)-9-dodecenyl acetate is placed 10 cm from the pheromone source at the entrance of a pheromone-baited trap, moth capture is reduced by over 90%.

2) Add 50 µL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.

3) Add 450 µL Saline,PBS or ddH2OTargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
