| Description | VU661, a redox-active phenazine carboxamide, modulates circadian rhythms by inducing period lengthening. |
| In vitro | VU661, at concentrations of 1, 3, and 10 μM over a period of 0 to 144 hours, exhibits a dose-dependent prolongation effect (extending the period by 7.2 hours at 10 μM), with minimal impact on the amplitude of Bmal1-dLuc U2OS cells [1]. Additionally, VU661, at 1 and 10 μM for 24 hours, increases the cellular optical redox ratio in a dose-dependent manner [1]. There is negligible effect on cellular ROS or hydrogen peroxide levels by VU661 [1]. |
