| Description | TTFB is a selective, non-competitive zinc-activated channel (ZAC) antagonist. It inhibits Zn²⁺ and H⁺-induced ZAC currents with IC₅₀ values of 3 μM and 8.5 μM, respectively, and has an IC₅₀ of 4.7 μM against spontaneous activity. TTFB does not show significant agonistic, antagonistic, or modulatory activity on classic Cys-loop receptor representatives such as m5-HT3AR, hα3β4 nAChR, hα1β2γ2S GABAAR, and hα1 GlyR. It is used to study the physiological and pathological functions of ZAC. |
| In vitro | TTFB (0.1-100 μM; 30 seconds) effectively inhibits Zn²⁺-induced, H⁺-induced, and spontaneous ZAC activity in Xenopus oocytes, with IC₅₀ values of 3.0 μM, 8.5 μM, and 4.7 μM, respectively, and can fully mediate the inhibition of the Zn²⁺-induced response. TTFB (10 μM) mediates voltage-independent ZAC inhibition, showing similar inhibitory effects on H⁺-induced currents at -60 mV and +60 mV. |

Dissolve 2 mg of the compound in 100 μL DMSO
to obtain a stock solution at a concentration of 20 mg/mL . If the required concentration exceeds the compound's known solubility, please contact us for technical support before proceeding.
1) Add 100 μL of the DMSO
stock solution to 400 µL PEG300
and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.
2) Add 50 µL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.
3) Add 450 µL Saline,PBS or ddH2O
and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
