Pro-PTX is an inactive prodrug of Paclitaxel. It does not exhibit cytotoxicity against cancer cells such as A549, U87, and HBVP cells. Under the catalysis of palladium nanosheets embedded in agarose and alginate hydrogels, Pro-PTX can be converted to Paclitaxel through dealkylation.
