Bioactivity

Description	Plenolin is an anticancer agent with inhibitory activity against human epidermoid carcinoma cells. In rodent models, Plenolin demonstrates in vivo antitumor activity against ascites cancer sarcoma and lymphocytic leukemia. It is useful for research related to ascites tumors and leukemia.
In vitro	Plenolin (Compound 3) exhibits a cytotoxic effect on H. Ep .-2 cells with an ED50 of 0.814 μg/mL.
In vivo	Plenolin administered at 33.3 mg/kg via intraperitoneal injection daily for 7 days completely inhibits the growth of Ehrlich ascites carcinoma in CF 1 male mice, prevents ascites accumulation, and results in a 100% survival rate by the 7th day. In male rats with Walker 256 carcinosarcoma, a dose of Plenolin (2.5 mg/kg; intraperitoneal injection) yields a T/C value of 207 for average survival days. Meanwhile, Plenolin (25 mg/kg; intraperitoneal injection) increases the T/C value of average survival days to 134 in DBA/2 male mice implanted with P388 leukemia.

Stock Solution Preparation:

Dissolve 2 mg of the compound in 100 μL DMSO TargetMol | reagent to obtain a stock solution at a concentration of 20 mg/mL . If the required concentration exceeds the compound's known solubility, please contact us for technical support before proceeding.

Preparation of the In Vivo Formulation:

1) Add 100 μL of the DMSO TargetMol | reagent stock solution to 400 µL PEG300 and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.

2) Add 50 µL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.

3) Add 450 µL Saline,PBS or ddH₂O TargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
