| Description | PKR1 antagonist 1 (PC1) is a potent PKR1 antagonist that effectively alleviates hyperalgesia and allodynia in SNI mice. PKR1 antagonist 1 can be used in research on pain, inflammation, and neurobiology. |
| In vivo | Methods: To investigate the analgesic effects of PKR1 antagonist 1, a spared nerve injury (SNI) mouse model was used. From day 1 to day 8 post-surgery, mice were administered PKR1 antagonist 1 (150 μg/kg) subcutaneously twice daily for 8 consecutive days. Results: PKR1 antagonist 1 completely prevented thermal allodynia, mechanosensory-induced pain, and dynamic mechanosensory pain. Pain returned in the mice 2–3 days after discontinuation of the drug.[1] |
