N-Nitrosoanatabine (N-NAT; N'-Nitrosoanatabine) is a tobacco-specific nitrosamine (TSNA) found in tobacco, tobacco products, and e-cigarettes. The (S) enantiomer constitutes approximately 80% of N-NAT in commercial and research-use cigarettes and smokeless tobacco. Unlike other TSNAs, N-NAT does not exhibit carcinogenicity in rats when administered at doses of 1, 3, and 9 mmol/kg.
