| Description | Morphactin Chlorflurenol methyl (Morphactin) is a plant growth regulator that preserves chlorophyll and inhibits senescence. It regulates enzymes involved in chlorophyll metabolism, alleviating heat-induced leaf aging by enhancing chlorophyll content and reducing electrolyte leakage. Additionally, it fosters bud redifferentiation and tracheary element development in tobacco callus. Morphactin Chlorflurenol methyl is applicable in studies related to heat-induced leaf senescence. |
| In vitro | Morphactin Chlorflurenol methyl (10 µM; foliar spray; once every 7 days; for a total of 25 days) inhibits heat-induced leaf senescence in creeping bentgrass by promoting chlorophyll synthesis (increasing PBGD activity by up to 38.56%) and suppressing chlorophyll degradation (reducing activity of key degradation enzymes by up to 49.14%), thereby enhancing turf quality, membrane stability, and chlorophyll content. Additionally, Morphactin Chlorflurenol methyl can induce shoot redifferentiation in Nicotiana tabacum 'Wisconsin No. 38' callus tissue. When applied at 1.0 mg/L in combination with 2.0 mg/L Kinetin, the shoot regeneration rate reaches 70%; however, using 1.0 mg/L of the compound alone results in only a 10% shoot regeneration rate. |

Dissolve 2 mg of the compound in 100 μL DMSO
to obtain a stock solution at a concentration of 20 mg/mL . If the required concentration exceeds the compound's known solubility, please contact us for technical support before proceeding.
1) Add 100 μL of the DMSO
stock solution to 400 µL PEG300
and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.
2) Add 50 µL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.
3) Add 450 µL Saline,PBS or ddH2O
and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
