| Description | Monalide (Potablan) is a soil-applied and contact herbicide that acts by being absorbed through the plant root system and through contact with the aerial parts of plants. It effectively inhibits weed growth and decomposes within a few weeks in the soil, leaving no residues on crops. |
| In vitro | Monalide is safe for carrots, caraway, fennel, celery, transplanted chives, and onions at all stages of growth. It is safe for dwarf beans and peas only when applied pre-emergence. However, Monalide can cause phytotoxicity to parsley at the cotyledonary stage, chives at the seedling stage, and onions at the seedling stage. |
