| In vivo | b>METHODS: Rats were given scopolamine (0.1 mg/kg, intramuscularly) 15 minutes before testing to produce memory impairment. Tetrahydroaminoacridine (THA; tacrine) (1.3 and 5 mg/kg) and Itameline (RU 47213) (0.2, 0.5, 1, and 2 mg/kg) were administered before testing to evaluate the anti-amnestic effect of working memory impairment. RESULTS: Itameline significantly reduced or inhibited scopolamine-induced working memory deficits in rats; Itameline has the ability to reduce memory deficits induced by impaired cholinergic transmission in rats.
