Bioactivity

Description	IMAB027 (ASP1650) is a selective monoclonal antibody against CLDN6 (Claudin 6) with antitumor activity that induces death of CLDN6+ cancer cells through antibody-dependent and complement-dependent cytotoxicity.
In vitro	IMAB027 selectively binds to CLDN6 but not to its closely related family members such as Claudins 3, 4 and 9. In CLDN6+-expressing ovarian and testicular cancer cell lines, IMAB027 was able to induce selective antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC) and complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC) in target cells. [1]
In vivo	IMAB027 inhibited tumor growth and improved overall survival in mice transplanted with human CLDN6+ cells. [1]
