Description HFI-419 is a potent inhibitor of insulin-regulated aminopeptidase (IRAP) with a K i value of 0.48 μM. It is utilized in research pertaining to cognitive and memory impairments, including Alzheimer's disease, brain trauma, and stroke [1].
In vitro HFI-419 effectively inhibits the Insulin-Regulated Aminopeptidase (IRAP) with a K_i value of 0.48 μM [1]. At a concentration of 1 μM, HFI-419 demonstrates a rapid decrease in presence, attributed to nonenzymatic processes, including amide hydrolysis [1].
In vivo HFI-419, administered intravenously (i.v) and intraperitoneally (i.p) at doses of 2 mg/kg and 10 mg/kg, demonstrates significant brain exposure and potent inhibition of IRAP [1]. Utilized in a Sprague-Dawley rat model [1], the compound was noted for its brief apparent elimination half-life, high plasma clearance, and extensive volume of distribution, while effectively extending the apparent half-life to 4.6 hours.
