Gancotamab (MM-302) is a HER2-targeting polyethylene glycolated liposome that encapsulates adriamycin to facilitate delivery to HER2-overexpressing tumor cells while limiting exposure to non-target tissues, including the heart.Gancotamab has antitumor activity and may be used to study advanced HER2-positive breast cancer.

Gancotamab is a liposomal drug targeting HER2 that carries approximately 20,000 Doxorubicin molecules in its core and 45 single-chain anti-HER2 antibodies attached to its surface. [1]
Gancotamab (0.5 μM; 72 hr treatment) promotes increased mortality in BT474-M3 and NCI-N87 cells. [1]
Gancotamab (1 μM; 2-24 hrs) induces activation of p-p53 levels in BT474-M3 and NCI-N87 cells, but has no significant effect on p-Akt signaling. [1]

Gancotamab (3 mg/kg; i.v. every 7 days; 3 doses) has a significant inhibitory effect on tumor growth and upregulates the expression of p-p53, a DNA damage marker. [1]
