Description	Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), a heterodimeric glycoprotein synthesized by gonadotrophs in the anterior pituitary gland, influences animal fertility and reproductive performance [1] [2].
In vitro	Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) stimulates the production of inhibin in ovarian granulosa cells, which in turn reduces the synthesis of FSH [1].
In vivo	Follicle-stimulating hormone (1-4 mg/per goat; intramuscular injection; twice daily for two days) increases the total number of corpus luteum (CL), number of recovered embryos, and number of transferable high-quality embryos in goats implanted with Norgestomet [2].
