| In vitro | FITC-Dextran (MW 1000) is a fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) labeled dextran fluorescent probe with excitation and emission wavelengths of 495 nm and 525 nm, respectively. It serves as a marker to identify cell damage caused by heat shock and study both early and late stages of apoptosis. Additionally, FITC-Dextran (MW 1000) is utilized in investigating cell permeability, including assessing the permeability and disruption of the blood-brain barrier. |
| In vivo | Guidelines (Following is our recommended protocol. This protocol only provides a guideline, and should be modified according to your specific needs). Assessment of Intestinal Barrier Function: 1. Subject mice to fasting for 4 hours. 2. Administer FITC-Dextran MW 20000 to mice via oral gavage at a dose of 0.6 mg/g. 3. Measure fluorescence intensity within 4 hours at excitation nm/emission 520 nm. |
