Description
FITC-Dextran (MW 1000) is a compound classified under fluorescent dyes. It is commonly utilized in biomedical research as a tracer molecule to label and track cells or other biological materials. Composed of fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) and dextran, the latter being a complex carbohydrate derived from starch, this combination forms a stable fluorescent tracer suitable for microscopic observation or quantification using specialized detection equipment.
In vitro
FITC-Dextran (MW 1000) is a fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) labeled dextran fluorescent probe with excitation and emission wavelengths of 495 nm and 525 nm, respectively. It serves as a marker to identify cell damage caused by heat shock and study both early and late stages of apoptosis. Additionally, FITC-Dextran (MW 1000) is utilized in investigating cell permeability, including assessing the permeability and disruption of the blood-brain barrier.
In vivo
Guidelines (Following is our recommended protocol. This protocol only provides a guideline, and should be modified according to your specific needs). Assessment of Intestinal Barrier Function: 1. Subject mice to fasting for 4 hours. 2. Administer FITC-Dextran MW 20000 to mice via oral gavage at a dose of 0.6 mg/g. 3. Measure fluorescence intensity within 4 hours at excitation nm/emission 520 nm.

Please enter your animal experiment information in the following box and click Calculate to obtain the mother liquor preparation method and in vivo formula preparation method:
TargetMol | Animal experimentsFor example, your dosage is 10 mg/kg Each animal weighs 20 g, and the dosage volume is 100 μL . TargetMol | Animal experiments A total of 10 animals were administered, and the formula you used is 5% TargetMol | reagent DMSO+30% PEG300+5% Tween 80+60% Saline/PBS/ddH2O. So your working solution concentration is 2 mg/mL。
Mother liquor preparation method: 2 mg of drug dissolved in 50 μL DMSOTargetMol | reagent (mother liquor concentration of 40 mg/mL), if you need to configure a concentration that exceeds the solubility of the product, please contact us first.
Preparation method for in vivo formula: Take 50 μL DMSOTargetMol | reagent main solution, add 300 μLPEG300TargetMol | reagent mix well and clarify, then add 50 more μL Tween 80, mix well and clarify, then add 600 more μLSaline/PBS/ddH2OTargetMol | reagent mix well and clarify
